Wild Mustang Gentling Demonstration
Jan 27 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Wild Mustang Gentling Demonstration @ Hillsborough | North Carolina | United States

Hello, I’m Carley Wheelis and I am one of the few 2019 Ocala Florida, Extreme Mustang Makeover Youth Trainers. On January 27th I will be hosting a BLM Mustang Gentling demonstration. This is a great chance to see a untouched mustang take it’s first steps into a domesticated life. Such a great opportunity for all ages to learn more about the American Mustang.

The Extreme Mustang Makeover is a elite national training competition that allows both adult and youth trainers to train a untouched horse in 100 days. This 100-day journey ends with a competition against the other chosen trainers in Ocala, Florida for a event full of friendly family competition.

All we are asking is for a donation per spectator that comes to experience this. All funds raised goes towards supporting our journey.

Green Recruit Clinic @ Carolina Morning Stables | Siler City | North Carolina | United States
If you go to one clinic this year make it a Green Recruit Clinic. This is not just for green horses or riders. It is for everybody! This is a real Horsemanship Clinic! And it’s all day so you will participate in a morning session and afternoon session both days.

Remount Horsemanship Inc is an educational program focused on foundational training of both horses and humans. Like the remount schools of old, our aim is to provide a solid basis of understanding, skills, and general fitness that prepare the horse and rider for anything.
Richards teaching style is gentle and based with influences from dressage, vaquero horsemanship, cow working, and more. Richards goal is to help you develop communication skills and a “language” with your horse involving body language, aids, and the ever elusive “feel”. With these communication skills You will learn more about feel, timing, and balance and how to cause your horse to be respectful, confident and responsive than any other clinic.
Clinic Cost:
$325 Auditors: $25/day or $40 for both days. Stalls available.
$125 Deposit (non refundable) to hold spot.

Western Dressage Play Days @ Michael Lyons Horsemanship
Feb 16 @ 9:30 am – Feb 17 @ 5:00 pm
Western Dressage Play Days @ Michael Lyons Horsemanship | Randleman | North Carolina | United States
Do you want to learn more about Western Dressage, and how you can have a lot of fun with it? We have fallen in love with it. It is a wonderful way to give your horse and you both something to work on, while having fun among friends! We are doing a play day where you can come in, learn and ride a test and see what it is the judges are looking for. As well as learn how to teach your horse each maneuver. We would love to have you there! We are starting with doing this on Saturday only, but if we have enough interest we do another day of it on Sunday. We will take 10 each day. Part of the day will be going over the test, and what to expect. We will then all go out and practice in the arena (we have the letters and all) Riders can ride a walk, trot, or walk, trot, canter test. We plan to show next season at Sport of Horses Park and will be prepping for that. We’d love to have you join us! Price is $195 for the day. If you have interest in doing it both Saturday, and Sunday, let us know! $100 deposit saves your spot. The rest is due prior to the clinic. Cabins and stalls are available onsite for rent.
Bomb Proofing/Gun Starting Clinic @ Lasher Performance Horses
Feb 16 @ 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Bomb Proofing/Gun Starting Clinic @ Lasher Performance Horses | Rougemont | North Carolina | United States
We’re excited to offer a little Winter fun on Saturday February 16th, with our 1st ever Bomb Proofing Clinic (Phase 1)! During this clinic, you will gain the skills necessary to truly start bomb proofing your horse. The goal is to be able shoot off of your horses back (.22 revolver with blanks, not real bullets, but they sound the same), carry flags, carry tarps, and walk around/through smoke by the end of the clinic! All of this will be done in the absolute SAFEST way possible, and no one is obligated to do anything from the horses back unless they are comfortable doing so!

If there is inclement weather that day, we will try for Sunday, February 17th. If neither dates work out due to weather, we will postpone until the following Saturday, March 2nd. If you signed up for the original clinic date but it is postponed and you can no longer attend because of that, you will be refunded in full!

If there is an abundant response to this clinic, we will offer one on two weekends to fulfill the demand. So, if you can’t make it on Feb 16th but could on March 2nd, let us know! We may do both.

The fee is $100 if you pre-register on FB or the day of for the price of $120. Spots are limited though!

You can read about the Phase 2 details on our FB page!

It’s going to be a great time, sign up now!

2019 Walkabout Tour @ Bob Martin Agricultural Center | Williamston | North Carolina | United States
A Walkabout Tour is the most inspirational two days any horse lover can have. At tours, Clinton hides nothing about his training method from the audience. He shares the ultimate goal of horsemanship with his personal horses and explains the training process, right from the start, by working with local problem horses. Step-by-step, he demonstrates how his training method helps real horses with real problems get real results. Whether you ride English or Western or are a serious competitor or love to hit the trails, learn how Clinton uses the Method to develop respectful and safe horses. From problem horses and learning to build your confidence to advanced riding techniques and trick training, the weekend offers something for every level of horseman.
